It is at once uplifting and heart rending to read these lovely thoughts from everyone.
Our memories go back a little further. How curly your hair was when you were toddler, how you couldn't quite forgive your big brother for being born first, how grumpy you were when he went to playgroup and you weren't old enough.
You were so many things: the six year old taken to watch England at Edgbaston for the first time who seemed to rise several feet in the air at every English success (it was a very good summer to be an England fan), the chess enthusiast, the chorister, the cub, the scout, the little brother and the big brother, the accomplished but very private pianist. The memories come tumbling over each other.
Then you left to go to College and we had the jigsaw of fitting all your stuff into the car and learning the best way to hoist your bike onto the roof rack.
And how the phone rang off the hook for you before you had even arrived home for the vacation. There was the annual Christmas Eve run with your friends and so much more.
And how delighted we were when you and Jenny found each other.
It is wonderful to know that you mean so much to so many good friends but above all, to us, you are simply our beautiful, beautiful, beloved boy.
Mum and Dad, with all our love.
